LENOX, MADISON CO. -- Five military helicopters were forced to land in a field due to the snowy weather today.

The choppers landed in a field near State Route 31 and Stephens Road in the Madison County Town of Lenox. That's near the southeast corner of Oneida Lake.

Some people who live nearby actually heard the choppers landing.

State police were called to the scene. They say the helicopters were forced to land because of the inclement weather.
