LIVERPOOL -- Liverpool school district leaders say a threatening message posted by a student on Twitter was just a prank.

School officials say a Liverpool High School student posted the threatening message last night. The student was not identified, nor was the content of the message.

After interviewing the student, school leaders say it was just a prank and the student wasn't planning to follow through with the threat. Because of that, no heightened security measures were taken at the high school.

School officials say the "appropriate measures" will be taken with the student behind the prank.
