Forty years ago today (November 19, 1971) Brian Erb, fresh out of the Navy, began working at NBC-3 as a news photographer.
He started, shooting 16mm film (which had to be developed before it could be edited), worked through videotape changes, to our current technology.
In 40 years, Erbie has been behind the camera for interviews on every major news story, for fires and tragedies, manhunts and happy endings, too. The attached video shows his enthusiasm for trying something different.
