CORTLANDVILLE -- Two people are accused of breaking into a Cortlandville college room and stealing several items.
20-year-old Francis Marine, of Manhattan, and a 17-year-old student are charged with burglary and petit larceny.
Cortland County Sheriff's deputies say the pair broke into a bedroom at College Suites at 951 Route 13 in the Town of Cortlandville around 4:30 p.m. Thursday.
Investigators say the victim was attending classes at the college and he returned home to find the two running from his locked bedroom. Police say the victim knows the two suspects.
The suspects were arraigned in the Town of Cortlandville Court and sent to the Cortland County Jail each on $1,500 cash bail or $3,000 bond.
Deputies have recovered some of the stolen property.
