15 years in prison for Syracuse man who stabbed two women

SYRACUSE -- A Syracuse man will spend the next 15 years in prison for stabbing two women.

51-year-old Gary Vandermark was sentenced in Onondaga County Court this morning in the stabbings of 48-year-old Theresa Costa-Hackett and 50-year-old Lisa Krigbaum. Vandermark admits he stabbed the two in front of 118 Wayne Street back in September.

Costa-Hackett almost died from knife wounds in her chest that ruptured her heart. Krigbaum who sustained cuts to her face and arms.

Vandermark was sentenced to 15 years in prison plus five years post-release supervision.
