Mannsville man accused of home burglary, assaulting man

ELLISBURG, JEFFERSON CO. -- A Mannsville man is accused of breaking into a home and assaulting a man in front of a child.

19-year-old Joshua Mitchell, of 14621 County Route 85, is charged with burglary and endangering the welfare of a child.

State police say he entered a home at 9248 Swan Road in the Town of Ellisburg around 9 p.m. Monday and assaulted Andrew Vincent, causing bruising to his face and head.

Police say it happened in front of a 12-year-old child.

Mitchell was arraigned in Pamelia Town Court and sent to the Jefferson County Public Safety Building on $5,000 bail.
