SYRACUSE -- An Onondaga County judge dismissed the drug indictment against Roy Brown today.

The 50-year-old previously spent 15 years in prison for a murder he didn't commit.

Last month, the felony drug charges were dismissed. Brown told CNY Central the judge ruled that police did not have enough suspicion to detain the car that led to the discovery of marijuana and heroin.

Police pulled over Brown in October of 2010, and police found the drugs in his car.

Brown spent 15 years in state prison for the 1991 murder of Sabina Kulakowski.

DNA evidence later pointed to another man as the real killer. Brown was released from prison in 2007. Brown won a $2.6 million settlement against New York State for wrongful imprisonment.
