A portion of Interstate 81 Southbound in Jefferson County has just been reopened after it was shut down this afternoon due to several accidents.
The shutdown took place between the exits 40 and 41, the Adams and Ellisburg exits. The section of interstate was shut down at 1:40pm to deal with the accidents.
