Liposonix

There's a new treatment just approved by the FDA that promises a trimmer tummy and less love handles without surgery. It's called Liposonix, and it kills fat cells using an ultrasound.
Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Dr. Renato Calibri is one of the first in Los Angeles to offer the treatment. "High energy beam that will go through the skin and target the fat cells and permanently destroy the fat cells," he explains.
Kristen Chaney is a 34-year-old mom who had a C-section and says her midsection has never been the same. "I have the little overlap and it drives me nuts," she says. Chaney says she considered getting liposuction, but didn't want an invasive procedure. Then she found Dr. Calibri and Liposonix online. "I was so excited to know that there's no invasive surgery and they're not pulling the fat out with a machine and blood," she says.
Doctors say the procedure can be done on your lunch hour. It takes about an hour and it's virtually painless. At a cost of $3,000 to $5,000 per treatment, you can expect full results within six to twelve weeks.
The doctor says the procedure isn't for everyone. You must have at least one inch of excess fat around your midsection.
Would you try the new procedure? Do you think it's worth the cost? Have you tried liposuction or any kind of plastic surgery in the past? Leave your thoughts below.
