ROME -- A Rome man is facing two felony charges following a police investigation into the promoting of child pornography.
Rome Police say 50-year-old Steven R. Garmany of Batavia Ave. was taken into custody on Friday after a search warrant was executed at his home. Police seized computers, cell phones, computer data storage devices and other computer related items in the search.
Police say Garmany engaged in the promotion of child pornography and is facing two counts of promoting a sexual performance of a child, both class D felonies.
The investigation is on going and more charges may be made against Garmany.
Garmany was arraigned in Rome City Court and is being held at the Oneida County Correctional Facility.
