SYRACUSE -- An Occupy Syracuse protester faces several charges after allegedly cashing a stolen and forged check.

Aaron Dean, 19, is scheduled to appear in city court Wednesday morning.

Police said a check was stolen from an attorney’s office on South Salina Street in downtown Syracuse on January 26th.

Detectives said surveillance photos show Dean cashing the stolen check at the M&T Bank in downtown Syracuse.

Employees at the office recognized Dean’s picture on the front page of Tuesday’s Syracuse Post-Standard.

Dean was then arrested at Perseverance Park where he was taking part in the Occupy Syracuse protest.
