ALBANY --
The former president of the booster club for Cicero-North Syracuse girls' field hockey admits to child pornography.
According to federal prosecutors, 48-year-old Michael Dolson of North Syracuse has admitted possessing more than 1,600 sexually explicit images and 950 video files depicting children. He obtained them on the Internet over three years.
According to the U.S. Attorney's Office, Dolson entered a guilty plea to the offenses of transporting, receiving, and possessing child pornography.
Prosecutors say Dolson admitted to using the screen name "mommyalicia1201" in a role play scenario where he portrayed himself as the mother of a child whom she abused.
He faces at least five years and up to 20 years in prison at sentencing May 31.
According to the U. S. Attorney's Office, a federal criminal complaint was filed on January 19 against Dolson. Prosecutors say he knowingly sent child porn to an undercover officer, along with receiving and possessing child porn, on five separate occasions before his arrest.
Dolson served as the president of the C-NS field hockey booster club, but he was not employed by the North Syracuse Central School District.
In October, Dolson pleaded not guilty to similar charges in North Syracuse Village Court.
