BALDWINSVILLE -- A Baldwinsville teenager and a man from downstate are facing charges in a bomb threat at C.W. Baker High School last month.

School officials came across the threat around 7:30 a.m. on January 17 while going through messages. The school was evacuated as a precaution.

51-year-old Frank Burgess, of Staten Island, is accused of working with a 15-year-old student to leave the threatening voicemail. Baldwinsville police say he met the girl during an online chat. They say she later called the school with Burgess on three-way. He is accused of then leaving the threatening message.

Police never found a bomb and students were eventually returned to school.

Burgess is charged with falsely reporting an incident, a felony. He was arraigned in Baldwinsville Justice Court with bail set at $100,000 cash or $500,000 bond. He was sent to the Justice Center and is scheduled to be back in court on February 15.

The 15-year-old girl was charged with falsely reporting an incident. Her name is not being released due to her age. She was released into the custody of her parent, and her case will be handled in Family Court.
