UTICA -- A Utica man is accused of breaking into a home and raping a woman.

Police have charged 20-year-old Chappell Miller-Carter with rape and felony burglary among other things.

Police say around 5:00 a.m. Saturday  they responded to a home on Wetmore Street. The victim told police she was sleeping when she was woken up by a man she didn't know. The victim says that man then forcibly raped her and took off with some of her belongings.

A short time later police arrested Miller-Carter who they say matched the description and had some of the victim's property.
