HASTINGS, OSWEGO CO. -- A Brewerton man is accused of crashing into a garage and wooden deck and taking off.

43-year-old Mackie Kilts, of 5490 Omara Drive, is charged with leaving the scene of an accident. His license was suspended last year for failing to answer a summons in the Town of Cicero.

Oswego County Sheriff's deputies say Kilts was driving on CR 12 in Hastings, about two miles north of Hungry Lane, when he lost control, slamming into an embankment. The force of the crash sent his 1999 pickup truck into the driveway of 2632 CR 12, smashing into the corner of the garage, sliding against the siding and then hitting a wooden deck attached to the house before landing in the yard.

Kilts was released on appearance tickets. He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Hastings Court on March 5.
