SYRACUSE -- AXA Equitable will cut jobs as part of a new plan. The company tells CNYCentral it plans to reduce its workforce by 5 to 7 percent. That includes slashing some jobs in Syracuse.
"As part of AXA Group's global growth strategy, AXA Equitable is engaged in an ongoing process to drive revenue growth and improve operational effectiveness. Unfortunately that will include a reduction in our company's workforce in 2012 by five to seven percent, which will likely affect some business areas in Syracuse and other locations. Our goal is to do so, as much as possible, through normal attrition," a company spokesperson said.
There is no word how many jobs would be lost in Syracuse.
