ALBANY (AP) -- The two former ball boys who accuse a fired Syracuse University assistant basketball coach with molesting them decades ago are lobbying for a law that would give victims more time to report sex abuse.

Bobby Davis and Michael Lang appeared with their lawyer Gloria Allred at a press conference Tuesday afternoon near the state Capitol. They are pushing for a bill that has languished in the Legislature to create a one-year grace period for sex abuse accusations that would previously have been barred by current law.

Davis said he's lobbying for the bill because he wants to protect children.

Davis and Lang accuse ex-coach Bernie Fine of molesting them. Fine, who was fired, has denied any wrongdoing and has not been charged.
