Critics of an Oswego County Family Court Judge are trying to gather support online.

People have started a petition, trying to put public pressure on Judge Kimberly Seager to resign.

The judge has come under fire for her handling of foster care cases. Some have accused her of trying to save money, rather than look out for the best interest of children.

Oswego County lawmakers have requested that her cases be reviewed, and sent a letter to Chief Administrative Judge James Tormey hoping for action.

So far 50 people have signed and the group is hoping to gather 7,000 signatures.

The petition was started by Michael Johnson who spoke to our Jim Kenyon on Wednesday about what it was like to be involved in the foster care system while Judge Seager was on the bench.

Seager has been out of town on a family emergency, and referred all questions to Judge Tormey, who has not commented on the story.
