LYONSDALE, LEWIS CO. -- A North Country man is accused of leading deputies on a chase following a domestic dispute.

Around 10:30 p.m. Sunday, Lewis County Sheriff's deputies were called to a domestic dispute at 7931 Moose River Road in the Town of Lyonsdale.

While in route to the scene, deputies say the suspect, Joseph Kraeger, passed them in a 2000 black Toyota Tundra. When they tried to pull him over, deputies say he refused to stop, leading them on a short chase.

Kraeger was eventually pulled over about a mile and a half later and charged with reckless driving, failure to obey a police order, failure to keep right, failure to use a designated lane and operating a motor vehicle while using a mobile phone.

He was arraigned in the Town of Lyonsdale Court and pleaded guilty to all of the charges. Kraeger was sentenced to 15 days in the Lewis County Jail and a $750 fine.
