SYRACUSE -- A Syracuse city school teacher assigned as a teacher at the Onondaga County Justice Center has been indicted on child sex abuse charges.
The grand jury indicted 34-year-old Jesus Rolon, of 27 Pickwick Road in DeWitt, on charges of a criminal sex act. Rolon has pleaded not guilty.
Investigators say Rolon worked at the Justice Center since the beginning of January 2012. Deputies say a male inmate recognized Rolon. He is accused of committing a criminal sexual act on him in mid September of 2010 when the victim was younger than 17. The alleged incident happened at Rolon's home. A second inmate also recognized Rolon and says Rolon paid him cash so Rolon could commit a criminal sexual act on him.
Authorities say Rolon did not meet the alleged victims while working at the Justice Center as a teacher. He remains locked up on $50,000 cash or bond.
