CAYUGA COUNTY -- Investigators in Cayuga County are looking into what sparked several fires.

Between about 3:15pm and 5:00pm on Monday, 911 dispatchers say there were seven reports of outdoor fires. They were all in the southeastern end of Cayuga County, in the Locke and Summerhill areas.

Dispatchers say all the fires are out, but crews are still investigating what happened. At least one district fire chief believes these fires are suspicious.

Cayuga County Sheriff's deputies are now involved in the investigation.
