CLAY -- A Clay man was indicted on murder charges in the death of his estranged father.
An Onondaga County grand jury indicted 23-year-old Herman Tolbert Jr., of 4977 Moses Drive on charges of second degree murder, burglary, criminal possession of a weapon and unauthorized use of a vehicle.
Last August, Lila Tolbert found her husband unresponsive on the floor. Herman Tolbert was pronounced dead at the scene. Autopsy results found he died of a stab wound.
Investigators say Tolbert Jr. forced his way into the home and stabbed his father to death. They say he later turned himself in to deputies.
