SCHROEPPEL, OSWEGO CO. -- A Pennellville man is charged with drunk driving in a crash that left four people hurt.
It happened just before 11 p.m. Monday on CR 12 in the Town of Schroeppel.
Oswego County Sheriff's deputies say 32-year-old Jedidiah Chesbro, of 363 CR 54, was driving a 2007 Chevrolet pickup when he went through a stop sign at the intersection with CR 10, then lost control, slamming into a pole and flipping over several times.
His passengers, 26-year-old Christopher Larson, 23-year-old Erika Ruple and 16-year-old Jordan Siravolo, were all ejected from the truck. Deputies say they were riding in the bed of the truck with no seats or seat belts. 28-year-old Nick Larson, who was riding in the cab of the truck, was also hurt. All four people were taken to Upstate University Hospital.
Chesbro is charged with DWI, operating a motor vehicle with a BAC .08 of 1 percent, failure to stop at a stop sign and imprudent speed. He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Schroeppel Court on April 11.
