Police identify man shot Tuesday along South Salina Street

SYRACUSE -- Syracuse Police have identified the man shot Tuesday afternoon along South Salina Street near Wood Avenue in Syracuse.

Charles Scott, 22, was standing in front of a store along the 2000 block of South Salina when a black, four door sedan pulled up and shots were fired from the front passenger side window, according to police.

Scott was struck in the neck. He was transported to Upstate University Hospital and is expected to be ok.

A bullet also hit the Blues Brothers Barber Shop and shell casings were found in the street.

Witnesses say the suspect's vehicle was last seen traveling south on South Salina Street.

Anyone with information on this shooting should call Syracuse Police at 315-442-5222.

This is the third reported drive-by shooting in the last few days in Syracuse.
