DEWITT -- DeWitt Police will discuss the skeletal remains found behind Shoppingtown Mall at a press conference Friday morning at 11:00am.
The press conference will be held in the Courtroom at the DeWitt Town Hall.
Police say a 13-year-old boy found skeletal remains while playing in the woods behind Shoppingtown Mall near Kinne Road in DeWitt on Saturday. Police believe the remains had been there for awhile.
Police conducted a methodical search of the scene, hoping to find any evidence that might shed some light on the case while detectives worked with the Onondaga County Medical Examiner's Office to help identify the remains and the cause and possible manner of death. Police have been checking missing persons cases for clues.
