The parents and friends group that supports the North Syracuse School Districts preschool program for disabled children is planning fundraisers to keep the program going.

Former Assemblyman Al Stirpe is on the board of Friends of North Syracuse Early Education Program and was our guest on Weekend Today in Central New York, saying that there's been lobbying in Albany to increase the state funding stream.
He points out that each dollar spent at this level saves 17 when the children are older....and that the program, which includes 'typical' children as half of the classroom populations also teaches understanding and appreciation of diversity.

In addition to lobbying, the Friends are planning their annual Therapy Ball---actually a casual get-together, with music, food and more.  The fundraiser is at Barbagallo's in East Syracuse this Thursday eveninig.
