Fayetteville-Manlius High School won their 10th New York State Science Olympiad Championship in a row on Saturday, coming in first of about 50 other schools. 15 F-M students competed at Canisius College in Buffalo, defeating the likes of Jamesville-Dewitt, Cicero-North Syracuse, and East Syracuse-Minoa.

After coming in second from 1999 to 2002, the squad has won the title every season since 2003. Along with New York's second place team Ward Melville High School, F-M advances to nationals to compete with 60 teams nationwide at the University of Central Florida on May 18 and 19.

The squad is coached by teachers R.J. Hartwell, Jamie Cucinotta, Joshua Buchman, and Erin Concannon.
