RICHLAND, OSWEGO CO. -- Investigators say driver inattention appears to be a contributing factor in a crash in Oswego County that left one person hurt.

It happened around 7:18 a.m. Thursday on I-81 northbound in the Town of Richland.

Oswego County Sheriff's deputies say 34-year-old Najia Atif, of Connecticut, was driving a 2005 Cadillac SUV when she lost control about a mile south of Tinker Tavern Road. Deputies say she over-corrected, slamming into the median and then a tree.

A passenger, 35-year-old Anwar Atif was extricated and airlifted to Upstate University Hospital.
