SYLVAN BEACH -- A Durhamville woman was arrested for DWI and Leandra’s law after nearly hitting a police car in Sylvan Beach Thursday.

Police say 41-year-old Julie Winn nearly hit a State Police patrol car on State Route 46 in the Town of Verona after unsafely passing two other vehicles.

Police pulled her over and found that she was driving with a BAC of .14%, nearly twice the legal limit, with her 12-year-old daughter in the car.

Winn was arraigned in the Town of Verona Court and remanded to the Oneida County Jail on $5000 bail. She is scheduled to re-appear in the Town of Verona Court this week.
