SYRACUSE -- Police are investigating a stabbing that happened in basement hallway at 201 Westmoreland Ave. in Syracuse. It happened around 12:15am Thursday.
Police say Jermain Kotary, 22, was stabbed in the chest during a fight with a man Kotary knows and is able to identify.
The suspect fled the scene before police arrived.
Kotary is in stable condition at Upstate University Hospitals.
This case is still under investigation and police say they are following numerous leads.
