WATERLOO, SENECA CO. -- The investigation continues into a deadly accident that claimed the life of a Waterloo man.

It happened around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Brewer and Hecker Roads in the Town of Waterloo.

State Police say 43-year-old Mary Sindoni, of Waterloo, was driving a 2000 Jeep Cherokee on Hecker Road when she failed to yield the right of way, entering into the path of another car. Police say driver of that 2010 Mercury Milan, 52-year-old Robert Iredale, of Waterloo, slammed into Sindoni's car.

A passenger in Sindoni's car, 58-year-old Samuel Sindoni, of Waterloo, was pronounced dead at the scene. Mary Sindoni was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital with serious injuries. Iredale was taken to Geneva General Hospital for treatment.
