WEST GENESEE -- A meeting will be held tonight to discuss a redistricting plan in the West Genesee School District that has many parents up in arms.

The goal of the plan is to balance enrollment at the elementary and middle schools, provide a balance of socio-economic factors with students across the buildings to equalize opportunities for students and determine whether the district could offer full day kindergarten.

Some parents say their kids will be forced to leave their friends, school and sports teams and travel further from home.

The meeting will be held at Onondaga Road Elementary School at 6:30 p.m.
