The scene on Comstock Avenue Wednesday night

SYRACUSE -- A 21-year-old woman is in critical condition after being struck by a car on the 700 block of Comstock Avenue in Syracuse Wednesday night.
Police investigation revealed that the women was crossing the street around 10pm when she was struck by a 2002 Mercury Sedan operated by 32-year-old Hussein Mumin.
The victim suffered a head injury and was immediately transported to Upstate Hospital, where she is currently in critical condition.
The name of the victim is being withheld until police can contact the family.
The accident is still under investigation and no tickets have been issued at this time.
