Police searching for suspect after Salina Byrne Dairy robbery

SALINA -- Police in Onondaga County are investigating the robbery of a convenience store which took place late Wednesday night.

According to the Onondaga County Sheriff's Office, around 11:30 p.m. deputies were called to the Byrne Dairy on Brewerton Road in the Town of Salina for a report of a robbery. When police arrived they were told that a man entered the store, showed a knife, and demanded cash from the clerk. The suspect was wearing a black ski mask. Deputies say the man took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the scene, after which the clerk called police.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male wearing black clothing, black gloves, and carrying a black and white drawstring bag. He was last seen riding a BMX bike on Brewerton Road.
