CANASTOTA -- A Madison County man is facing drug charges after state police say he was caught at a village park with tools to make methamphetamine.

State Police arrested 36-year-old Ronald McEathron, of Munnsville, on Monday. Troopers say McEathron had meth and the equipment to make more in his car in the parking lot of the Robert F. Borgognoni Municipal Pool and Park. That's on Chapel Street in the Village of Canastota.

Police found McEathron while investigating an unrelated mobile meth lab less than a mile away.

McEathron was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful methamphetamine manufacture. He was arraigned and sent to the Madison County Jail on $10,000 bail.

Over the past year or so, Madison County has seen numerous meth busts, most commonly in the City of Oneida.
