SYRACUSE -- The 200 block of Clinton Street, near The Post-Standard building in downtown Syracuse, is affected by a water main leak.

The Syracuse Water Department says they are shutting down the water main to make repairs. The water main is shut down on N. Clinton from West Genesee Street to Willow Street.

Clinton Street will be closed from Genesee St. to Herald Place while crews make repairs. Repairs typically take between 4 and 6 hours once they begin.

The Syracuse Water Department says that only businesses in the immediate area will be affected.

According to Syracuse.com, muddy water was reportedly coming out of two holes in the pavement.
