SYRACUSE -- Three men were indicted on separate rape, murder, and bank robbery charges in Syracuse on Thursday.
33-year-old Timothy Rouse, of Memphis, was indicted on charges of felony rape, committing a criminal sex act, sexual abuse, attempted rape, and endangering the welfare of a child. Rouse was arrested back in December after an investigation revealed that he had a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old girl.
19-year-old Demetrius Hackett was indicted on murder charges and two counts of criminal possession of weapon. Hackett was arrested in April for allegedly murdering Chance Gathers in retaliation against the death of his brother.
54-year-old Joe Davis was indicted by an Onondaga County grand jury on robbery and grand larceny charges for allegedly holding up the Alliance Bank on James Street and the Citizens Bank in Shop City Plaza in March. Davis was charged back in 2004 for robbing the Bank of America on James Street and the same Citizens Bank and the same teller.
