RADISSON -- Residents in some suburbs north of Syracuse are waking up without power this morning.
According to National Grid, just under 2,000 customers are experiencing power outages in the areas of Radisson and Baldwinsville. The National Grid website says the outage started around 6:00 a.m. and they expect to have service restored by 7:30 a.m.
A representative of the Baldwinsville School District transportation office says as of 6:45 a.m. the school buses are running on time. Schools in Baldwinsville have power and are not affected by the outage, though a couple of residents have called to inquire.
A National Grid spokesperson says that the company is currently assessing the cause of the outage, and is working to switch customers to another power grid as quickly as possible.
