SYRACUSE -- A 34-year-old man has been convicted of fatally shooting a teenager as he stood with a group of friends on a Syracuse street in 2010.

The Post-Standard of Syracuse reports that an Onondaga County Court jury on Wednesday found Tommy Davis guilty of second-degree murder in the shooting death of 17-year-old Kiwan Rush.

Davis was also convicted of attempted murder, criminal possession of a weapon and endangering the welfare of a child.

Rush was gunned down early the morning of Oct. 7, 2010 on the 100 block of Eastman Avenue.

Police say the shooting occurred about an hour after one of Rush's companions fired a shotgun blast at Davis' grandmother's Syracuse home.

Davis could face more than 50 years in prison when he's sentenced June 13.
