SYRACUSE --
A Syracuse man was shot in the legs after allegedly being involved in a dice game on the Southside.
Syracuse Police say they are investigating a shooting that happened behind 2614 Midland Avenue on Tuesday afternoon.
Police say Javier Bachiller, 20, was shot in the legs several times.
Bachiller was involved in a dice game at 2614 Midland Avenue, police say.
Bachiller described the suspect to police as a black male in his 20s. He was last seen wearing an orange hooded sweatshirt and running south on Midland Ave.
Police say an officer was driving past the location when he heard shots fired and saw about 10-12 males, including Bachiller, come running out of the residence towards the street. Bachiller fell on the ground as the officer got out of the vehicle.
Bachiller was taken to Upstate University Hospital with non life threatening injuries.
A similar incident was reported last week on Lincoln Avenue, near the Southwest Community Center. Terry Linden and Jovaehn Pringle both were shot in their lower leg after participating in a dice game.
