TEXAS -- The city of Lewisville just north of Dallas, Texas is now home to a state of the art gun range and sales shop.
Owners of the Eagle Gun Range are transforming a worn down office building into the new gun shop. Not only does it sell weapons, but it trains people on how to use them.
Owner Dwight Walker is encouraging people in the area to start at a very young age.
"We want to bring children in starting at age 8 and teach them how to effectively and safely use a firearm. We will start them off with bb guns and 22's," said Walker.
He says fewer children are learning about guns because there are fewer places to hunt and shoot in the Dallas metro area.
Walker says the new gun range will be a safe place for people to learn about the weapons.
Do you think 8-years-old is too young?
