CANANDAIGUA (AP) -- Police are asking for information about a fight that may have been connected to the death of a 66-year-old man whose body was found in the Canandaigua Lake outlet.
Police said the body of a 66-year-old man was found in shallow water about 8:00 a.m. Sunday. They're trying to determine whether a fight on a city street Saturday night had anything to do with the man's death.
The body was spotted by a fisherman and recovered by the Ontario County Sheriff's Department. The man's identity wasn't released, pending notification of his family.
Canandaigua Detective Sgt. Scott Kadien says the death is considered "suspicious" but police haven't determined whether it was a homicide.
