The Syracuse Arts and Crafts festival, kicks off as part of Arts Week in the heart of the city, near Columbus Circle.
It showcases the work of more than 160 artists, 15 entertainers and musicians will serve as an excellent backdrop for your browsing.
Organizers say, this festival gives people, a special chance to connect with the art they buy, as they're able to talk to the artists who created the pieces they fell in love with.
"People are able to find out the back story of what they are buying, find out the back story of the artist, and how they came to create the art the person is buying. [You'll] see really unique arts items that you would not see in your usual shopping experience," says Lisa Romeo, of the Downtown Committee.
Participating artists come to Syracuse from 27 states; some, from Canada. If you missed the color on Friday, you still have two more chances to check out the fun Saturday and Sunday. The Arts and Crafts Festival runs 10 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
