SYRACUSE -- Syracuse police say a woman was stabbed three times after she hit a teen with her fists who was trying to steal her vehicle from a parking lot behind the Domino's Pizza on Harvard Place.

Police say the 27-year-old woman was approached by a male, who stabbed her with a knife twice in the neck and behind one ear. She was taken to Upstate University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. She was not identified.

Police say her attacker ran from the scene. They say he was about 16 or 17 years old, 5'6" - 5'7" tall, and wearing a gray shirt and dark pants.

The assault occurred about 6:45 p.m. Wednesday.

Anyone with information on the stabbing is asked to contact the Syracuse Police Department at 442-5222. Police say all calls will be kept confidential.
