LORRAINE, LORRAINE -- Two Watertown teens were arrested after a Facebook argument apparently turned physical at a party in the town of Lorraine.
State Police in Watertown say they arrested Makenzie Roberts, 17, and Lexa R. Spencer, 17, for allegedly assaulting another teen at an outdoor party in Jefferson County.
Police say they received a report of an assault on Middle Road in the town of Lorraine shortly after midnight on August 27.
Investigators found that Roberts and Spencer assaulted and injured a teen at the party.
Police say the assault stemmed from an earlier argument between the teens on Facebook. At the party, the argument escalated and became physical.
The three teens had all left the party before police arrived. The victim went to Samaritan Medical Center, where she was treated and released for her injuries.
Police arrested Roberts and Spencer on Tuesday, September 4. They were both charged with assault, endangering the welfare of a child, and aggravated harassment.
Roberts and Spencer were issued appearance tickets to reappear before the town of Lorraine Court on September 11 pending additional court action.
