NEW YORK -- More than a decade after the attacks, the billion dollar memorial and museum dedicated to the victims still is not complete.

Amid the tears and solemn remembrances, a national group called American Atheists is sparking controversy by trying to block a museum exhibit.

The group wants to prevent a large cross made of one of the Twin Tower's T-beams from being displayed at the National September 11 Memorial & Museum.

They argue it's a religious symbol that has no place in a memorial that's backed by public money.

They also say the site should be honoring victims of several religions or no religion at all.

Others argue it is simply an artifact and an icon of hope and should be put on display.

Do you think the cross should be displayed at ground zero? Does it have a religious connotation or is it simply an artifact? Leave your thoughts below.
