FORT DRUM (AP) -- People living near northern New York's Fort Drum will see an unusual number of emergency vehicles as Fort Drum simulates an airplane crash.

Fort Drum officials say the exercise by the U.S. Army post's emergency management team will feature actors posing as casualties and activities to practice responding to environmental concerns.

The drill is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday a Wheeler-Sack Army Airfield.

Civilian emergency crews from the area will be involved, as will local hospitals.
