ONONDAGA LAKE PARK -- Many turned out Saturday morning for the Sixth Annual Bill Leaf Memorial Kickball Tournament at Onondaga Lake Park.

The tournament is designed to raise awareness about the dangers of drunk driving. It was in honor of former WSYR radio reporter and CBS 5 sports anchor Bill Leaf, killed by a drunk driver heading the wrong way down I-81. The event was also in honor of Samantha Reynolds, a young girl killed in a drunk driving accident on her way to Disney World.

Their families said the event is important for raising awareness about the dangers of drunk driving, and want everyone to have a safe plan for getting home before going out to drink.

A CNY Central team was just one of several that participated in Saturday's tournament.
