ONEIDA -- The Oneida Nation’s "Allies in War, Partners in Peace" exhibit at the Smithsonian Institution National Museum of the American Indian is adding a multimedia exhibit.

Oneida Nation Representative Ray Halbritter presented the eighth $1 million installment of the Oneida Nation’s $10 million commitment to the museum at an event on Thursday.

The multimedia piece will accompany the current statue exhibit in Washington, D.C., that shows Chief Shenendoah and an Oneida woman with Gen. George Washington.

“The existing sculpture is brought to life as the great figures of George Washington and Chief Shenandoah tell stories about the important role the Oneidas played in the founding of this country.  They share tales of patriotism, friendship, and cooperation in a multimedia exhibit that entertains and engages visitors of all ages,” says Halbritter.
