MONTAGUE -- Sheriffs deputies in Lewis County are investigating a fatal, one car motor vehicle accident.
According to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office, Matthew J. Brenon, 47, of Brownville was killed. The accident occurred just after 12:30 PM on Wednesday at the intersection of Gardner Road and Sears Pond Road in the town of Montague. Brenon went off the right side of the road, became airborne, and struck a telephone junction box and then a tree.
The cause of the accident is being investigated.
